Introducing WORDS: 40MAG’s Newest Feature

We’re adding something new to the 40MAG lineup and it’s not another track review.

WORDS is our brand-new space for quotes, thoughts, and short poems. No beat required. No mix to send over. Just whatever is actually on your mind: a sharp one-liner, a late-night thought, or a verse that never made it into a song. If it fits in 500 characters, it fits on WORDS.

Why We Built This

Not everything worth saying comes with a melody attached. Some of the realest lines we’ve heard from artists never made it past a voice memo or a notes app draft - the confession that was too honest for a caption, or the observation that didn’t need a beat behind it to land. WORDS is where those thoughts get to exist.

How It Works

Submitting takes about thirty seconds:

• Share Your Lines: Head to our submission form and drop your quote, thought, or poem (max 500 characters, built for a quick mobile read).

• Make It Yours: Choose whether you want your name attached or prefer to post anonymously.

• Add the Details: Attach an image if you have one, tag your socials so we can shout you out, and you’re in the queue.

Every WORDS entry that goes live gets its own spot on the site, plus a shot at being featured in our weekly WORDS recap across Instagram, TT & X, where we round up the sharpest lines from the week and tag you directly.

Say It However You Want

Whether you want full credit or would rather stay anonymous, WORDS gives you the choice. Some of the strongest lines this week came in without a name attached and honestly, they hit just as hard.
