Steve Swisher Steps Out From Behind the Desk on 'Rest In Peace'

Steve Swisher spent over twenty years in the industry doing the groundwork for other acts before finally carving out room to put out tracks under his own name. 'Rest In Peace' came together near the tail end of a long bout of depression, written straight into the machine to work through heavy loss, isolation, and the grind of getting back on his feet. He built the track mostly in Logic Pro, running stock tools alongside outside plugins and feeding in outboard gear like the Arturia Minibrute and Elektron Analog RYTM, pointing to the vocal chop as the piece he is proudest of.

The finished cut stays chill, dark, and rooted in an honest, emotional headspace, keeping things patient rather than over-polished. With plans on the board to roll out multiple albums across different styles, starting with an electronic dance music record set for early 2027, 'Rest In Peace' marks a grounded first step into his own corner.
