Silver Owls Return With 'Blinded by the Darkness'

Irish duo Silver Owls, formed by childhood friends John Haggis and Eddie Butt, have released 'Blinded by the Darkness'. Clocking in at over six minutes, the track blends dense shoegaze distortion with atmospheric dream pop, recorded across Cork and Waterford. Built on a mix of live drums, programmed beats, and driving bass, the piece relies on heavy guitar walls and subtle synth textures.

Haggis handled vocals, keys, and mixing duties, with Butt tracking guitars, bass, and mastering. Skipping glossy studio production, the track leans into a sprawling, late-night drive atmosphere reminiscent of 90s alternative noise rock. It marks a sharp, focused chapter in the pair's long-standing creative dynamic.
