Operating as Mynel Maréada, Brussels-based neurologist Benkirane Adam presents 'Hypoxie Thérapeutique', a raw instrumental cut taken from his debut album 'Soniare'. The track was recorded live on a Steinway grand piano in a friend's sunny apartment just weeks after Adam finished his neurology internship. Working alongside a sound engineer and an artistic director, he tracked the entire piece completely live and unedited, letting the natural acoustic decay of the room frame his quiet chord progressions.
Drawing direct inspiration from pianists like Aaron Parks and Esbjörn Svensson, Maréada bypasses structured composition to test the limits of spontaneous play. The melody flows naturally, slowly moving between soft dissonances and warm, open harmonies. By keeping the production entirely stripped-back, the track preserves the quiet, unhurried energy of a single afternoon, resulting in a deeply meditative and honest performance.
