Jesse Murray built 'LASER' under the dogged// moniker using borrowed gear, tracking everything on his girlfriend's laptop inside Ableton Live Lite's rigid eight-track cap. Running at 140 BPM, the track scraps long cinematic intros and gets straight to an abrasive, distorted synth hook cutting over dry kicks. Drawing cues from Pegassi's direct bounce, it feels like a fast basement test run that cuts out all clean production tricks to keep the punch raw.
